In April 1959, Marco Bellini signed a contract at Veloce Motorsport asserting that road cars funded racing, which shaped a 31-year career focused on racing dominance. After Aldo Marchetti's retirement in 1987, Bellini discovered the racing program had lost money for 14 years, despite his belief that road cars were secondary.
