At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, a concealed passage allowed Russian authorities to swap tainted urine samples for clean ones, facilitating widespread doping. This elaborate scheme was orchestrated by state officials and later exposed by Grigory Rodchenkov, the lab's former director.
