I FILED THE COLUMN REPORT ON APRIL 11TH. THEY SCHEDULED A BOARD REVIEW FOR JULY 3RD. THE BUILDING FELL JUNE 29TH.
A junior engineer submitted a report on April 11, 1995, detailing severe cracks in load-bearing columns at the Golden Plaza Department Store. The building collapsed on June 29, just four days before a scheduled review, resulting in the tragic loss of 502 lives.
