On March 8th, a safety engineer at Velo Systems filed a recall recommendation for the Tread Plus treadmill after evaluating 39 injury reports and one fatality, a six-year-old in Dallas. Just weeks later, the CEO publicly disputed safety warnings from the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
