On October 1, 2012, during a routine inspection, Liam Torres discovered a digital offset in the wing-sail measurement system. This manipulation caused the yacht to register 412 kilograms lighter than its actual weight, subsequently leading to Apex Maritime's disqualification from the Crown Ocean Cup.
