He filed the appeal in 1909. The breakup came in 1911. He drafted the dissolution plan himself.
I filed the appeal on October 12th, 1909. Two hundred forty-seven pages arguing that the Sherman Act prohibited only unreasonable restraints of trade. The Supreme Court adopted my reasonableness standard but nevertheless ruled against us on May 15th, 1911.
